To prepare you for the demands of the industry, the SIS40621 Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership, completed in conjunction with your employer, focuses on outdoor activity training at both guide and instructor levels.
The Traineeship allows you to work with your employer to develop your skills in conjunction with your studies at Box Hill Institute. You’ll have the opportunity to instruct as well as directly engage with participants.
Gain practical industry experience, develop your guiding techniques in different workplace settings and become job ready before you finish your course.
Internships with Victoria University
Victoria University’s Bachelor of Outdoor Leadership will launch your career in the great outdoors. In partnership with The Outdoor Education Group, this unique degree is designed to meet the needs of the outdoor education and recreation sectors, helping you create a rewarding lifelong career.
For students wishing to enter the outdoor professions, the Outdoor Leadership Industry Internship major provides a unique opportunity to combine employment with study in the outdoor industry.
Throughout the major, you’ll engage in a part-time role in an outdoor leadership organisation during your Degrees’ 2nd and 3rd years. The internship major is designed to work in conjunction with your ongoing studies.
